The interactive projection piece Portal 1: A Landscape consists of an abstract digital landscape and the investigation of the naturally changing colours throughout a day. In a playful way, this piece lets the audience interact with the virtual landscape and the mechanics of machine vision. This project deals with the questions of how do humans see a landscape and how does a machine examines its environment accordingly? Using projection mapping in combination with sculpture, the piece results in an explorative experience for a diverse audience.
